This zine is a second reiteration of visual contemplations over the relationship between myself and five red chickens who have come to live with my family in at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. You can find the other zine exploring this topic here.
The name, “farmata” is a play on the musical term “fermata”, known as a hold or pause (or as a grand pause when placed on a note or a rest). In musical notations, this symbol indicates that the note should be prolonged beyond the normal duration. In the farmata zine, this invitation extends to the complex relationship with backyard hens.
The zine was developed in English and Russian.
